The high-prestige fibre of the Bactrian Camels, golden-brown in colour, comes from the Alashan area of Inner Mongolia. By selecting it carefully, this fibre can be obtained in a fineness that is unmatched in fibres of this type. During the spring moulting season, when the camel loses its hair naturally, the fleece is collected in the traditional way. The very low temperatures in winter and the very high summer ones allow the animal, which lives freely, to develop a fibre with unique characteristics, thus guaranteeing it a natural, lightweight thermal insulation in both summer and winter.
