In the heart of Brera, a garden awakens.

On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2025, the historic courtyard at Via Brera 4 hosted Al Bustan, an immersive installation by Jwana Hamdan. A tribute to the timeless beauty of Arabic gardens, reinterpreted through the essential language of contemporary design.
In Arabic tradition the bustan is a walled garden, a place of shade and reflection, where geometry and nature coexist in perfect harmony.

AL BUSTAN | Milan Design Week 2025

Through chromatic layers and subtle contrasts, Al Bustan took shape as a textile exploration rooted in the natural world. Olive green, in its multiple options — Solid, Check, Palma, and Stripes — was combined with Fairouz, the floral pattern created in collaboration with Californian artist Tricia Paoluccio.

A material landscape where textures echo memory and color becomes language.

At the heart of the installation the Majlis On Structure a symbol of hospitality and contemplation. Framing the scene, the Noora lantern and the Amar and Shams coffee tables.

Presented during Milan Design Week 2025, the Maitha lounge chair was unveiled in a new version featuring stainless steel armrests and iroko wood detailing.
Also designed by Lorenza Bozzoli, the new Aliya armchair — an evolution of the namesake dining chair — expands the collection with generous curves and a gentle soul.

Among light geometries, breathing textiles and vibrant silences, Al Bustan was an invitation to slow down, to inhabit space with softness, and to be guided by what does not need to speak aloud.
